where it all began ...
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our journey began with two simple observations—one of people overwhelmed by stress, and another of materials overwhelmed by waste ...
One of us discovered the meditative calm of hand-weaving through an old book about weaving with cardboard as looms —a forgotten guide tucked quietly on a shelf.
At the same time, the other couldn’t stop thinking about the growing piles of discarded packaging and fabric that seemed to gather in every corner of modern life.

People were searching for calm, focus, and meaning, while mountains of discarded fabric and packaging materials continued to grow.

What if these overlooked materials could be transformed into something beautiful and healing?

What if this slow, mindful craft could help bring calm to those struggling to find peace?
And what if we could use the very materials people throw away to make it happen?

That’s when the idea sparked: combine weaving and upcycling—two humble acts of renewal—and turn them into something greater. We shared our visions and saw something beautiful unfold.

The result was Woven UP: a project that brings stillness, purpose, and connection to overlooked lives and overlooked materials.
Woven UP was born from this convergence: mindfulness, sustainability, and inclusion.
